Esk View is set in one the most beautiful valleys in the Lake District with 3 pubs within walking distance and a small shop on the local campsite. The property is slightly dated but is ideal for a large group of people. The kitchen facilities are adequate but the dining room and living offer excellent space to sit and relax. The patio space offers views of the fells and we were lucky enough to have decent weather. I would definitely recommend Esk View and also Eskdale.

Hi Richard, you're so right, Eskdale is amazing, isn't it? I'm delighted that you had such a wonderful time and made the most of all those spectacular views!

Overall very good for 16, aged from 13 To 80. Tesco delivered supplies. Many small faults need attention: bars in the dining chairs need regluing, salt dispenser required attention in dishwasher, kettle switch(reported by previous visitors), and wasp nest in house wall by the window on the patio. No sun all week so this was not a big problem. House has lovely feel, and all of us were very comfortable. Excellent walks, swims and pubs close by.

Except for the initial problem with the door we had an excellent time. And the “handyman” who came to solve the problem was pleasant and efficient. We found the house to be comfortable and welcoming, the views were stunning, and local amenities including pubs/restaurants, La’all Ratty, Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass and superb local walks provided enjoyment for all our guest whatever their age and abilities.
We had mixed weather overall, unfortunately there was a downpour on the final Friday as we were cleaning up, but this did not spoil our enjoyment.

Hi Ken, I'm delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful stay and that our very own Handy Andy swiftly sorted your door. There's just so much to see and do around there, isn't there?
