This was an fabulous holiday. The setting was simply outstanding and the house was perfectly adequate, It was immaculately presented and perfectly clean when we arrived. The house was a little dated and I do think there needed to be a washing machine (more important that a dish washer in my opinion) since the lakes are often wet and muddy. As there was no internet or phone reception in the house, some more specific instructions in case of emergencies might be appropriate.
All in all, we had a magical week. The best thing was that we could go for any number of beautiful walks right from the doorstep!

Great central location for walking mountain bike riding and swimming in the river. A nice cottage with grass for the children to play on in a safe off road garden. Only downside was pots and fry pans for cooking were too small and some with scratched Teflon. I’ll stay again but next time I’m bringing my own.

Hi Jackie, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? And the location is just perfect for heading out exploring.
Thank you for letting me know about the pots and pans, I'll take a look.
I hope you can plan a return visit soon, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

No Wi-Fi - which we did know before we went. Could do we some bigger pans and a larger casserole dish. Also there was no tea, coffee or even a pinch of salt - would be good to have a few very basic provisions. Most importantly Margaret, the owner passed away in January but is still the contact name and number that was sent out. Fortunately we didn’t need to make contact. Generally the place is a bit old fashioned but this was clear from the pictures so not an issue for us.

I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions for improvement. The owners contact details have been updated now, apologies for that.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
