General Description

Cumberland Place is a very spacious two bedroomed apartment laid out over the first and second floors of a lovely Victorian slate building in the heart of Keswick.

On arrival at the rear of the property, guests let themselves in at ground floor level. Just inside the door there is a spacious entrance hallway as well as a large ground floor store room that is perfect for storing bikes, muddy boots or kayaks during your stay.

Moving up to the first floor landing, there is a door out to the decked roof terrace: a perfect spot for catching some morning sunshine. The main door to the apartment is on this first floor leading into a spacious hallway with hat stand. To the right of this is the functional living room with its high ceilings and a large bay window with a seat looking out over bustling Station Street and up towards lovely Latrigg. It's a great place to sit and read a book or do some people-watching. The room has an electric stove, sofas, and a SMART TV with DVD player. There is also a selection of games and books available in the lounge.

Back across the hallway guests will find the large open plan dining room and kitchen. This is a great sociable space for getting everybody together for food preparations and at mealtimes. The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, fan oven, halogen hobs, fridge freezer and washing machine. It has two large windows letting in tons of light and looking over the parking area and local houses to Chestnut Hill. The dining area has a large table and a window looking out onto the roof terrace.

Moving up to the second floor there is a Parker Knoll armchair on the landing, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the views past the slate-turreted buildings to Latrigg and Skiddaw in the distance. The triple room is a large, high-ceilinged space with a double and a single bed as well as a wardrobe, dresser and armchair. On this landing is the family bathroom with its over-bath electric shower. The large master bedroom has a king-size bed, large wardrobe and drawers as well as a large en-suite shower room with mixer shower. The views from this room stretch out to Chestnut Hill and towards Walla Crag.
