Parking Info

There is ample car parking at Cruck Barn. There is a stream between the parking area and the entrance to Elm How (parking is shared with Elm How) and there is a 40 metre walk from the car park to past Elm How with no steps, just gravel and grass, to Cruck Barn.

The owners of this cottage will be providing Christmas decorations for the festive season.

The cottage does now have Wifi but due to the rural location this won't be as quick as you are used to at home.

  • Brunch boxes: Using only the finest local produce, a number of tasty brunch boxes can be delivered directly to your door for your stay.
  • E-bike hire: Zip around the quiet country roads and explore the local area on one of four electric bikes available to hire.
  • Motor boat hire: Get out onto Windermere lake on your very own motor boat, which takes up to 10 people. Rent by the day or for the duration of your stay (subject to availability).
  • Outdoor adventure activities: Experience an adventurous thrill on land or in the water with a number of outdoor activities including paddle boarding, climbing, guided walks, ghyll scrambling, kayaking and pony trekking.
General Description

Cruck Barn, originally a small cattle barn is now a spacious holiday home for two. The barn is entered by the entrance hall with the bathroom opposite with a delightful feature stone wall, WC, bath and shower (over the bath) and an electric towel rail.

Three steps up lead into the living area. There is one large sitting room which includes a kitchen and dining area. The kitchen area has an electric cooker with 4 rings and two ovens, a microwave, under the counter fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and dual washer-dryer.

The spacious double bedroom is off the sitting room with woodland views.

There is a TV, DVD and CD player in the sitting room. However, there is no tv reception.
