A lovely cosy cottage in a fabulous location. The cottage has a great layout for families, bedrooms a good size, lovely dining room for a social get together. Kitchen is on the small side for 6 adults, but fairly well equipped, only minor comment would be the fridge is on the small side for a week’s worth of food/drinks for 6 adults, we got Asda in Keswick to deliver a food shop shortly after our arrival. Also saw a Sainsburys van delivering nearby. Braithwaite itself has lots to offer, we ate in both pubs, great food & great service, the village shop is very well stocked with fresh goods & a good selection of groceries. A great base for walking from the door. Sallys Cottages are attentive with communications, easy to book with and I like the presentation of properties on their website. We have booked two more stays with them next year, so hoping for more great holidays! Thanks!

Crown Cottage was absolutely perfect for us. It's got everything you need for a fantastic stay. Very clean and comfortable. I think Braithwaite is now my favourite village in The Lakes so far. Three pubs and a village shop! We really enjoyed just walking around it, it's so pretty. The Royal Oak does lovely food with great service, we also went to the Coledale Inn which was nice, lovely views if you sit outside. The village is only 2 miles from Keswick aswell so the market on a Saturday is a must! Cockermouth is also not far away and a great place to visit. Whinlatter is wonderful too, they do a great Go Ape there aswell as lovely walks. If you fancy a drive out, Muncaster Castle is an hour away but fantastic and good value for money. The bird displays are amazing. We always have a wonderful stay in Sallys Cottages but I think this one was my favourite so far. We'll be back.

Hi Kerry, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm so pleased you had a wonderful holiday, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? Braithwaite is one of my favourite villages in the Lake District too! The location is stunning, there's so much to see and do nearby, and it's always a bonus having a choice of good pubs to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat!
I hope you can plan a return visit soon, you can be sure of a warm welcome.
