Croft View is a charming cottage with its own lovely garden opposite, which features a safe, enclosed, lawned area adorned by beautiful roses and a variety of established trees and shrubs. The garden boasts a beautiful summer house in which you can relax and appreciate the beautiful views over the Solway Firth to Scotland. Located on the outskirts of the small village of Arkleby, there is a welcoming local pub providing food approximately 1 mile away, a private leisure pool with sauna and hot tub a minute or so away (this can be booked by prior arrangement) and even a local beauty salon only minutes away. The cottage is surrounded by pretty countryside, ideal for walking (2 well behaved dogs welcome) and cycling, whilst also being close to local beaches with the beautiful Solway Coasy just a 10 minute drive away.
Cockermouth, a pretty market town, is approximately 6 miles away and has a great selection of independent shops and eateries. There are many local lakes just a scenic drive away; head to picturesque Loweswater for peaceful lakeshore and woodland walks, or continue on to Keswick and Derwentwater where you can try your hand at canoeing, paddle boarding or raft building with one of the local adventure companies. The border city of Carlisle is within easy driving distance too, so why not spend a day exploring here? Those with an interest in history will love learning about the area's fascinating Roman heritage. Stop off at one of the traditional pubs on your way back for a hearty meal and refreshing drink.
