With its large picture window, original features and sumptuous furnishings, this is a truly lovely place to relax. If you crave a little time to yourself, you’ll discover a wonderful king-size room with an arm chair and country views on the second-floor. We had a fantastic week. So much to do in the surrounding area - lots of great walking right from the door. The cottage was very well equipped and very comfortable. Shap chippy and the local co-op were really handy.

It is a lovely, charming cottage! It really gives you the feeling of "escape to the country", warm, cosy and relaxed. The details are amazing. There is a shop on 5 min walk and 3 good restaurants within 15 mins walk. The location is really the gateway to the Lake District! There is something for everybody and all ages. We had a splendid holiday!

A great cottage set at the top end of the main street, with a well stocked Co-op a 2 minute walk away. All facilities were great and the kitchen was well stocked. Arrival instructions were easy to follow. If new to the area would recommend a visit to the Aira Force waterfall, which is around a 30 minute drive away
