This cottage had everything and more. We loved it. We brought our small dog and as we all know, dogs and rain = dog smell. So it was great for our dog to dry off in the sun room when you 1st enter the property, before entering the main house. It rained everyday but that didnt spoil our trip at all. Although this property is regarded as a cottage it is a good sized house with plenty of room both inside and out. Modern equipment. Smart Tv with apps and many channels. Very good central heating and appreciated as the period I was there was was cold and serious snow. [ December] Great location for village. Would be a great place to stay at any timRead moree of year. Lovely property in a great location. A really practical cottage that works well in the mixed weather of the LD. Great facilities in general, really useful dryer, comfy beds, good shower, sun room to dry wet boots etc. Enjoyed our stay, booked for next year already!

The location of this cottage is fantastic with a lovely view of the fields on the edge of Hawkshead. The house was immaculately clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the house and the surrounding areas and I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Perfect location for the village and walks from the door. It is attached to another house but no issue. Comfy and warm, Lovely inside overall. The porch area was lovely to sit in especially when the sun was shining. Glad I'd read reviews and aware of caravan on land next door. No issue but glad I knew, the rest of the view is lovely. Ate mainly at Read morethe Outgate inn a 2 min drive away as pubs in the village either full or closed. Wall very low on patio so caution with dogs and children. Will return Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage with plenty of space for our sprawling family,. 5 peeps, a Mastiff and a Cocker spaniel. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location was spot on with everything within a short car distance away. Hawkshead is inviting with nice food, plenty of good beer and a cracking little Co op. Kids are dying to come again.
