The romantic bolthole is the perfect place to switch off and recharge, surrounded by nature and far-reaching mountain views. A multitude of walking trails branch away from the pod, leading you into the village of Coniston (0.5 miles) or high above the water to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston (1 mile). After a long walk, return to your cosy pod to snuggle in front of a film or sip a glass of wine on the veranda whilst taking in your peaceful surroundings.

The stylish lodge has a striking interior, with timber cladding creating an almost nautical feel once inside. The open-plan space has been carefully configured to include comfortable seating, a cute dining area, Smart TV, and a bespoke kitchen. To the rear of the pod, and partly screened off, is an inviting double bed. Completing the property is a sleek shower room. Outside, there is a small veranda and an enclosed gravel area with a picnic bench for al fresco dining. This is the perfect place to sit and relax at the end of a busy day, watching the local wildlife and soaking up the tranquillity.

Follow the meadow path into Coniston, where you’ll find a charming village with quirky shops and antique stores. The village also has an excellent range of cafes, restaurants, and cosy pubs, many of which boast stunning views of Coniston Water. You’ll find some gorgeous walks around the lake, or you can enjoy the views from the water on either the Coniston Launch or Steam Yacht Gondola. Alternatively, head to the boating centre to hire a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard. A visit to the picturesque village of Hawkshead (4.5 miles) is a must for the itinerary. Wander amongst its cobbled streets, popping into William Wordsworth’s former school or the Beatrix Potter Gallery.

Pod was great with everything you could need for a mini break and lots of close by hiking routes. The roads and path can be a bit steep and have a couple pot holes. Would very happily return to the pod!

This little pod is beautiful, with the most amazing view to wake up to. Has everything you need. Feels so peaceful when there and is only just up the hill, 10 minute walk from the town. Perfect. Will be returning and wish I still there now.

Fantastic location with an amazing view of the hill behind us, and the village and the lake from the farm. So many walks and things to do nearby that we didn't need to take the car out once all week. We had a great time. The views are fantastic, the pod is well equipped and stays warm using the heaters provided. Very comfortable, shower is fab. There are blinds which give great privacy and a lot of storage in the bedroom area for bags/clothes. Don't use the postcode for satnav, turn into 'the banks', look for the small sign for heathwaite farm Read moreimmediately as you turn in on rhs. Very clean, and plenty of utensils etc. Would definitely stay again. Owners very helpful, friendly and attentive. Hide

Lovely location with outstanding views. The Pod was well equipped, cosy and very clean - helped by the No Pets policy. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The approach track to the Farm is narrow and steep in places. We would certainly re-book the Pod.

I stayed at this cottage for only a short period of time but thoroughly enjoyed myself and the location it is in. Upon arriving there was a lovely welcome by a field of sheep and then the owners themselves. Matt and his wife were very attentive and caring our entire stay. More than enough supplies within the cottage. This is a lovely place to visitRead more and I suggest at least a week to be able to appreciate the location and cottage. Highly recommend. Hide
