With spacious living areas, a games room and an enclosed garden, there’s ample space to rest and recharge after a day on the trails.
This spacious, three-storey cottage is bursting with Lakeland charm. Furnished in a traditional country style, it offers a cosy and welcoming home from home. Spend quality time with your loved ones in the generous lounge, with the open fire roaring on chilly evenings. Prepare dinners for a crowd in the large, fitted kitchen, then gather around the farmhouse-style dining table for good food and conversation. A light-filled conservatory is the ideal spot to curl up with a cuppa and a book, while kids, large and small, will love the games room on the second floor, equipped with air hockey and table football. The first floor houses three beautifully appointed bedrooms, a king-size room with an en suite shower room, and a twin and bunk room which share use of the family bathroom. A futon in the games room can accommodate an extra two, if required. Outside, the patio garden invites al fresco feasts, while there’s private, off-road parking for two cars.
Hillwalkers can head to the Uldale Fells, including Longlands Fell, Lowthwaite Fell and Great Sca Fell (within 7 miles). It’s less than 5 miles to Bassenthwaite Lake, which is a haven for nature lovers thanks to the Dubwath Silver Meadows Nature Reserve and resident ospreys (in season). For water activities, continue to Keswick (11.5 miles) on the shores of Lake Derwentwater.
