Located on a working farm at the heart of the Lake District National Park, this delightful abode offers peace and tranquillity, away from the tourist crowds. However, with the popular towns of Windermere and Bowness just 4 miles away, all the attractions are close at hand.

Sharing a beautiful setting with two other holiday cottages, this alluring shepherd’s hut combines rustic charm with modern comforts. Set on a raised platform with a few steps leading up to the front door, it’s been cleverly designed to make the most of the space. Inside, its bespoke, handcrafted interior is bursting with chic and stylish touches creating a homely, warm environment. Enjoy quality time together rustling up meals in the well-equipped kitchenette, sharing a romantic meal at the table for two, and snuggling in front of the wood burner to watch a film on the Smart TV. Savour a blissful night’s sleep in the king-size bed, before a refreshing soak in the en-suite shower room leaves you ready for new adventures in the morning. The living space extends outside, where a small patio invites a morning cuppa or stargazing over a bottle of wine, while private parking for two cars adds convenience.

There’s a handful of amenities in Ings, including a traditional pub and brewery, with many more shops and eateries at the twin towns of Windermere and Bowness. These are popular towns for a host of Lake District activities, such as lakeside strolls, leisure boat trips and water activities, and useful start points for a number of well-trodden walking routes.

One of the cosiest places to stay. Amazing views while remaining secluded and private. Rustic aesthetic but still provides all modern facilities and comforts. The owners were absolutely brilliant, totally hospitable and gave any advice or recommendations which all panned out to be great. Loved being able to watch the sunset from the hut winding dowRead moren after each day. Superb location and delightful cottage. Close to the local villages with the benefit of being on a quiet, tranquil and beautiful farm nestled in the hills. Great and welcoming hosts. Definitely would come again if we ever had the chance.

Absolutely gorgeous little getaway! The hospitality of the host was amazing and it was such a sweet place to spend a few nights. Easily accessible from Windermere by bus. The hut was well equipped and very warm once the fire was on! We cooked some brilliant food with the kitchen so well equipped and we had the loveliest stay. Will be back again!!!

Lovely little hut, perfect for a weekend away or as a retreat from the busy city. The owners were lovely people and the property is gorgeous. The hut itself was very clean and tidy, as well as very modern with usb plugs and plenty of outlets to plug in to. Gets really warm and cozy once you get the log fire going, so no issues there! Lovely hut for 2 on a farm just outside of windermere. Walkable to the windemere lake or drivable by matter of minutes. Lovely host made sure we were kept warm with snow covering the lakes while we stayed. The farm also has 2 cottages on site which were offered to us for our next trip. The most beautifully warm little cabin, for a stripped back, no frills stay based in the heart of the lakes. Perfect for a couple who value space to be calming, peaceful and meditative, with a cheery little wood fired stove cackling away and a small babbling burn outside. Bliss.
