The stylish holiday home sits on the edge of the Lake District National Park, just 7 miles from the market town of Cockermouth. The property has a sociable, open-plan layout and is perfect for spending time with friends and family. The property is a great base for exploring Lake District highlights such as Bassenthwaite, Keswick, and Whinlatter Forest (all within 20 miles).

The bright and airy holiday home is full of chic furniture and carefully chosen accessories, and the decor is neutral and relaxing. The heart of this retreat is a spacious kitchen/diner with an adjoining informal lounge area overlooking the garden. Spend quality time together here, sharing family mealtimes at the large dining table or gathered around the breakfast bar to plan the day’s itinerary. Just off the kitchen area is a handy utility room for storing outdoor gear. Completing the ground floor is the formal lounge which is an elegant space, with sumptuous sofas arranged around a Smart TV. The three beautiful bedrooms are upstairs, one of which has an en-suite shower room. A gorgeous family bathroom rounds off the accommodation. The immaculate garden is fully enclosed and has a patio area for al fresco dining and a lawn where children and dogs can play.

The Georgian market town of Cockermouth is 7 miles away, and has a great selection of independent shops and eateries. The town is renowned as the birthplace of William Wordsworth and you can visit his childhood home, which is now owned by the National Trust. To get away from it all, head to the shores of Loweswater (5 miles). This majestic lake is often much quieter than its more well-known neighbours, and there are some truly stunning walks to enjoy here, including to the magical Holme Force Waterfall.

Absolutely spotless. Much bigger than the pictures suggest and very well equipped - very comfy beds too. Lovely, quiet location with great places to visit nearby. Thank you.

We loved our stay at Millfields, really perfect location for a quieter stay in the lakes. Everything we wanted to see was well within 30min drive and our little boy loved it! What a stunning property! Everything about it was perfect, it felt really homely and cosy, and is surprisingly bigger than the photos appear. The kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy, bathrooms are beautiful and the communal areas are spacious. We were a group of 5 friends and never felt cramped. Had a lovely stay at The Mill Fields. The house is gorgeous, very clean, so cosy and comfortable. There was an added treat of fizz and cookies on our arrival. Its situated in a good location for walks and visiting the surrounding villages.
