Boasting far-reaching mountain views, large picture windows and sleek, elegant interiors, this spacious hilltop cottage is perfect for an unforgettable Cumbrian getaway for a group of up to 10 friends or family, plus two canine companions. The town-centre location makes it easy to dine out and browse the shops while Lake Windermere and an abundance of scenic nature walks are also nearby.
As you enter the three-storey property, you’ll be blown away by the size of the living spaces on the first floor. The main lounge is kept warm by the wood burner and has a calming ambience created by the light tones throughout and minimalist, contemporary furnishings. There are two dining areas, both with views of the national park, one of which is more formal with a French chic table and chairs. Cook a hearty meal for your loved ones in the stylish kitchen with tones of blue throughout, a kitchen island and an AGA. On the ground floor are three king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite. The top floor contains a twin room and the master king-size bedroom with a wooden beamed ceiling, a large arched window and a sofa. Outside are balcony and patio areas with furniture and a chiminea.
During your stay on the outskirts of Windermere town, take your four-legged friends for a stroll around Windermere and Troutbeck Park and Garden or along the Wynlass Beck (both 200 metres). Go for a refreshing dip at Millerground in Lake Windermere (0.5 miles) and head to the top of Queen Adelaide’s Hill (0.5 miles) for elevated, scenic views. Explore Windermere’s town centre (1 mile) to find a handful of restaurants, a cafe and shops or pick up a rental bike from the hire shop.
