Holiday in style in this bright and airy three-bed house in Keswick, which is attractive outside but stunning inside. This terraced stone property is surprisingly roomy and offers any group of six a wonderful home from home in the north of the Lake District National Park. There’s plenty to do in Keswick itself but it’s also ideal for getting out and exploring the Lakes further – on foot, bike or by car. With up to two dogs welcome, it means the whole family can come, too!
Flop down on a sofa in the lounge flooded with light from the bay window after a hard day’s holidaying. Or light the wood burner in chillier months for a cosy evening. If you’re self-catering, the modern fitted kitchen has all you’ll need to cook up a storm to eat in the stylish dining room with a practical wooden floor. From here, slimline French doors lead out into the garden so you can eat out there or just let the outside in. Upstairs on a landing, there’s a quiet corner complete with an armchair if you fancy some time out. The bedrooms comprise two doubles and one twin, all decorated in calming, neutral tones to make them really relaxed spaces. There is a bathroom with a roll top bath and a separate shower room with WC. Outside, the cute courtyard garden offers furniture and potted plants.
You’re only 500 metres from the centre of Keswick with its shopping, dining and sightseeing options. Learn more about local life at quirky Keswick Museum, or wander to the shore of Derwentwater to hire a boat or jump on a cruise. Many local fells are accessible such as Catbells which is popular with walkers of all ages and abilities. Skiddaw is more challenging being longer and higher, but the views make it worthwhile.
