One of three amazing newly built (2022) cottages in a traditional Lakeland design, ideal for a family or group getaway in this wonderful, picturesque region.

For the ultimate couple’s retreat to the Lake District National Park, come and stay at this stunning newly built cottage near the ancient village of Cartmel. Surrounded by wild natural beauty, walking trails and luscious green hills, your group can spend your days climbing to the summits of world-famous mountains; making a splash at Lake Windermere and Coniston Water, or treating yourselves to dinner in one of the fine-dining restaurants nearby.

The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is at the hub of this contemporary property. Boasting a sleek island breakfast bar, couples or families can dig into many a mouthwatering feast here or even while away a few hours playing a board game together. After a day of exploring, what better feeling than to sink into one of the cosy sofas in the living room as the electric fire fills the room with a glorious warmth? Raise a glass of fizz to your friends and catch up on the day’s adventure as the chef of your group rustles up a platter of scrumptious nibbles. On a sunny day, the outside space is a wonderful area to host an al fresco meal. When the stars start to shoot across the night sky, head indoors to rest your head in one of the two king-size bedrooms, which both provide a TV, and an en-suite shower and WC.

Water enthusiasts will love visiting Lake Windermere (15 miles) and Coniston Water (17 miles) for a day of canoeing, kayaking and wild swimming. Why not indulge in a boat cruise during your visit to either of the lakes and soak in the magical scenery that surrounds you? Closer to home is the sweet seaside town of Grange-over-Sands (3 miles) where you can enjoy a stroll along the promenade before tucking into a takeaway bag of fish and chips.

Nice holiday home , would be better with a table and chairs as there is enough room for it , high chairs are not fit for purpose , heavy chair and a light base !! Base is very light Approach road is pot hole galore and you can't avoid them as road is very narrow No washing machine if you stay for a week !! Just returned from our week long break. The accommodation was very good and very comfortable and, we enjoyed our stay. Just one or two matters to consider; The distance to Cartmel is 'underplayed' in especially for anyone wishing to walk. The access road to the cottage is in need of urgent attention as there are large potholes which make driving awRead morekward/ hazardous. The icebox in the fridge should be defrosted weekly as we found it to be iced-up. Both bedrooms need an hair dryer, not just one. Hide

House is suitable for two couples. Kitchen could be better equipped needs few more pans,baking sheets,scissors and a jug- if you are intending to cook you might want to take your own.The fridge /freezer is actually a fridge with a small ice box -made smaller as icebox needed to be defrosted .Bedrooms are good sized and enough hanging space for clotRead morehes .Garden has a wooden picnic table ,but nothing comfortable for enjoying any sunshine.2 good dog walks into Cartmel 25-30 minutes Hide

Very nice cottage , lovely surroundings. A few additions to the cottage internally would be beneficial. We would happily return.

Easy to find, new cottage, looks beautiful but cleanliness needs work. Housekeeping company came out when we complained.

Well situated and built recently to a high standard, insulation and heating great for Autumn . En-suite bathrooms good quality and extra toilet downstairs useful. Basic furnishings downstairs , kitchen reasonable equipment . Good base for exploring local villages. Limited immediate area for dog to be off lead . No recycling bins / boxes provided. Really lovely accommodation and situated in a quiet rural setting. Ideally located for visiting Lake District towns and attractions. Perfect for 2 couples as both rooms had en-suites. We have suggested a few tweaks that we feel would enhance the property but would thoroughly recommend it and will more than likely return.

Couldn't find any fault with this cottage, lovely and clean, nicely furnished and very comfy beds and well equipped. The cottage also provided iron and ironing board and hairdryer which was not on listing. Although set amongst other farm building and cottages, didn't hear a thing. Overall very relaxing and peaceful setting. Only around 1.5 miles frRead moreom Cartmel village via country lanes. Hide

The location of the cottage was stunning, beautiful views across fields & the bay. It was spotlessly clean & holiday company was very responsive. The cottage is 1.5 miles from Cartmel. If you walk via the road it takes 25/30 mins. We preferred the cross country route (start at public footpath opp driveway) which takes you across fields, down a tracRead morek and to back of the racecourse (approx 40/45 mins). Keith, Estate Taxis was great. Unworths Yard-live music, pizzas, Oscars-tapas, pubs-great food. Hide

Lovely well presented house. Home from home, loved our weeks stay there. Would be more helpful if Holiday cottages showed the exact location before booking as located down a single track road, which could be a problem for some.

Great spot for exploring, lovely clean modern space with everything you need to hand, lovely enclosed garden for my dog who thoroughly enjoyed himself too. Would also like to mention the fabulous sea views so beautiful xxxxx
