There are walks a-plenty straight from the front door and there's something for all abilities. Fans of Alfred Wainwright can follow in his footsteps up fells such as Skiddaw, Walla Crag and Catbells. If a leisurely stroll is more your thing, head down to Derwentwater and enjoy a peaceful walk along the lakeshore. All that exercise is sure to work up an appetite! If you fancy having someone else do the cooking for a change, head to one of the cosy pubs for a hearty meal; there's also Italian, Chinese and Thai restaurants to choose from, as well as some fine dining options for a real treat.
Head west from Keswick for a day at the seaside. The beautiful Solway Coast is wonderful for a bracing stroll - not to mention ice cream and fish and chips! Or take a scenic drive and wind your way through stunning countryside as you head the The South Lakes. Stop off at pretty Grasmere to stock up on the village's famous gingerbread, onwards into Ambleside where there are plenty of shops and cafes to keep you occupied, whilst bustling Bowness is home to The World of Beatrix Potter attraction, a must for fans of any age. With so much to see and do, a week just won't be enough at this property.
Set down off the pavement, 11 steps lead down from road level to the bungalow and there are then two steps up to the front door. Once inside, all of the accommodation is laid out on the ground floor. Light, bright and airy, you'll feel instantly at home in the property. The porch is a handy storage place for boots and coats and leads through to the warm hallway. The living room is a wonderfully welcoming room, just perfect for unwinding after a day out exploring. Catch up on some TV or grab a good book and simply enjoy a few moments peace. There is a sofa and two arm chairs here, as well as a dining table for two.
The modern kitchen is well equipped, with a fantastic picture window to really make the most of the view - you'll be fighting over who gets to do the cooking or washing up and not the other way around!
