It benefits from a quiet and tranquil location combined with easy access to one of the most spectacular and unspoilt areas of the Lake District. It is located in the peaceful hamlet of Mosser close to the lively Georgian market town of Cockermouth and a few miles from picturesque Loweswater.
The cosy Lakeland farmhouse full of original features. It has been carefully renovated to a high standard to offer comfortable accommodation for 12 people. It is the ideal property for a relaxed break with family and friends. The owners have furnished it with thoughtful touches including two wood burners, flatscreen TVs in the bedrooms and a pool table. There are five en-suite bedrooms all with wall mounted TVs and a further double and a twin bedroom sharing a luxury bathroom.
Mosser is a small hamlet on the fell side near Loweswater. It is ideally situated for enjoying walks from the door on Fellbarrow, to Loweswater and to Lorton. In the wider area Buttermere and Crummock are close by and Keswick is within a 30-minute drive.
The entrance to the cottage is through a traditional Lake District porchway leading to a comfortable sitting area, fitted with leather sofas, two wood burners and a snooker table. The cottage is kept in the original farmhouse style with modern fittings and solutions. The front patio is conveniently accessible through the sitting room right by the snooker table.
The sitting room leads to the kitchen and the dining room. The kitchen itself is equipped with an electric oven, a dishwasher and a farmhouse-style table sitting six. Please note that the range cooker shown in the photos is currently not in use. The sitting room is equipped with matching tables which can be moved together to provide dining space for 12. There is a flatscreen TV in the dining area.
The utility room attached to the kitchen is well equipped with an additional fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and a storage room.
All bedrooms are based on the first floor. The first double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, and there are an additional three double rooms with en-suite showers. The family room offers a separate area with twin beds and en-suite shower to the rear.
All bedrooms are equipped with wall mounted TVs.
The highlight of the cottage is a very spacious, luxurious bathroom which takes over the second floor. Velux windows and free-standing bath, along with the marble-effect tiles provide an unique space to unwind and relax.
A professionally landscaped and enclosed garden offers space to relax at the rear of the cottage.
