Located in the centre of Cartmel with its quaint cobbled streets and delightful stream sidewalks, this bright cottage is in the perfect location to explore one of the best-loved destinations in the Lake District. Nearby you'll find Cartmel Racecourse which is home to the UK’s shortest steeplechase and has a full diary of interesting events when there are no race meetings. Further afield, the seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands is a lovely place to spend the day exploring the attractions on the town’s promenade and is only a short drive away. Also within easy reach are the popular destinations of Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston and Ulverston, making this cottage the perfect base from which to explore some of the treasures of the Lake District.

This beautiful country house will feel like a home away from home as soon as you walk in the door. The lounge boasts comfort and tranquillity with two sofas along with a Smart TV to enjoy a family movie in front of the wood burner. The kitchen/diner is the main focal point of the house, where you will spend all your time, with bifold doors to the patio that allow the room to enjoy the best of both worlds. Here you can create a family feast and enjoy it at the dining table, plus there's another wood burner to add to the ambience on chillier winter evenings. There is also an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Heading up to the first floor, you will find the master bedroom with a king-size bed and a Smart TV and another spacious bedroom offering a super king size bed (zip and link) which can be made as a twin on request.

Outside, there is a patio area with a charcoal BBQ, perfect for dining alfresco, with seating to enjoy views of the falls behind. There is also the added bonus of a wonderful second patio area further down, which is secluded and hidden away with seating. There is secure storage for bikes, and roadside parking can be found subject to availability.

A beautiful cottage: really well appointed and beautiful furnishings/ surroundings. This is an excellent cottage for a stay in the Lakes. We were very comfortable here and loved Cartmel. The local produce left by the owner was a lovely treat. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our holiday at Brookside, we visit Cartmel often and loved the location of this cottage. It was really lovey inside and very comfortable. We had very unsettled weather so loved coming back to a cosy cottage each day.
