General Description

The lodge is accessed via the side door leading into the dining room. Off the dining room is the kitchen which is well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.

There is a double bedroom off the dining area.

An inner hallway leads to the bathroom with bath, separate powerful corner shower, w.c. and washbasin. There is a family bedroom off the hallway, suitable for children, with twin beds and a set of bunkbeds.

Stairs from the dining area lead to the landing, from which there is a sitting room with an open fire, initial supply of logs provided. French windows open onto the large balcony, overlooking the garden (table, chairs, sun umbrella and BBQ available for the summer months). The sitting room has comfortable sofa seating and the room features a flat screen satellite TV with DVD and video player, Sound Dock, books and board games. Toys suitable for younger children eg Duplo, Lego and Brio are kept in the downstairs family bedroom.

The house is set in an idyllic location with an enclosed garden on different levels and with a shallow natural water course running through. Just a three minute walk through the private woods leads to the a private area on the Lake shore (this is shared with another local house owner but is very quiet and secluded).

The owners allow the use of two Canadian canoes (use at your own risk). There are paddles provided and an assorted sizes of buoyancy aids.

Within the garden, there is an enclosed natural woodland garden with a rock outcrop suitable for older children's adventure play/building dens (at their own risk).

The owner can provide bike storage for at least 6 bikes, please enquire for more information.
