Ipplepen, Newton Abbot, Devon Family
- Copeland Cottage is in a superb location - quiet and peaceful, and has good access to local walks. The weather was very kind to us and we were able to walk each day, (Catbells, Melbrake near Buttermere, Blencathra, Hellvellyn, Dove Crag and Jacks Rake) There were beautiful views from the windows across fields and towards Catbells. The house was warm, although the bedrooms were cold, however you can put the electric heating on in each room if needed. We also used the wood burner on a couple of nights and found it very efficient. The upstairs bedroom was a little disappointing as the bed was only a small double at 4'6" and my husband and I are used to a super king, however, the bed was comfortable. The upstairs bath is also quite small and narrow but ideal if you have little children. The kitchen was generally well equipped and there is a good sized utility room, however, we did find that there was a rather nasty smell near the fridge area which came and went, and we never quite found out what was causing it. We left a note for the housekeepers. However, all in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come back.

Hi Helen, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? The location is ideal for heading out exploring and getting out on the fells, it sounds like you managed to fit a lot in!
Thanks for letting me know about the fridge, I'll make sure we get that checked out.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
