Conveniently set on the ground floor of a complex of properties, this charming holiday apartment is ideal for couples and families who want to explore the Lake District National Park.

How does a welcoming apartment in the very heart of Keswick sound to you? If that fits the bill, then this property should be ideal. Situated in a quiet courtyard development, with its accommodation all arranged on the ground floor, two well-appointed bedrooms and an allocated parking space, this really is the ideal starting point for your Lake District trip. The apartment makes a perfect base as everything that this much-loved Lakeland town has to offer is right on your doorstep. Once you’ve parked up, you have the luxury of forgetting about the car keys for your stay and exploring everything on foot.

Keswick is world-renowned as a jewel in the Lake District. It’s an energetic and vibrant small town with an atmosphere all of its own. There’s a twice weekly market, a great selection of outdoor and independent shops and even its own stunningly situated theatre and an art deco cinema all within an easy potter of Coledale. To keep young families amused, there is a climbing wall and an excellent play park all just a short walk from the door while the foodies among you can enjoy a fantastic choice of restaurants, pubs and cafes.

If you're a bit of an outdoor enthusiast, the walking opportunities here are endless. From gentle strolls along Derwentwater’s shore, to small but rewarding fells like Latrigg and even on to Lake District giants such as Skiddaw, all of this is available right outside. History buffs will love the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle on the edge of the town while nearby Mirehouse is a stately home with wonderful gardens and literary connections to explore. Why not make use of glorious Derwentwater during your visit? A picturesque cruise on a heritage launch, a trip around the islands in a romantic rowing boat or a brisk wild swim could be in order! However you choose to spend your visit, this apartment puts you at the heart of all that Keswick has to offer.

On arrival at the property, guests enter via a communal hallway. Once inside, discover a warm and welcoming apartment with a light hallway and traditional, subtle decor. A handy hall cupboard has plenty of hanging and storage space for all your outdoor gear. To the left of the front door is the living/dining room. There’s a wooden dining table for four along with a comfy and colourful sofa and two armchairs arranged around a television with Freeview and DVD player. The owners have also thoughtfully left a selection of games and books for your entertainment.

There is a separate, well-equipped kitchen where you’ll find a fitted fan oven, four ceramic hobs, an under-counter fridge with ice box, a microwave and washer/dryer and all the tableware and cookware you’ll need for your stay. The spacious, recently refurbished bathroom has a modern white suite and vanity unit with an over-bath mixer shower.

The lovely master bedroom has a king-size bed with an upholstered headboard, a dressing table and a wardrobe and drawers for storage while the cosy bunk room has full size single bunk beds, a wardrobe, dressing table and drawers.

In all, this is a comfortable and welcoming apartment with a wonderfully central location, making it the ideal bolthole from which to explore this beautiful area.

Spotlessly clean. A lot of thought and care had gone into how the place looked. great location so handy when car parking in keswick is at a premium and expensive. Will come back again which is the best recommendation. Thank you

Great cottage in good position, nice to have decent comfortable furniture rather than the uncomfortable leather settees that seem to be in most properties. I would definitely recommend staying here.

A well equipped & comfortable apartment , ideally placed for all the amenities in Keswick. Ground floor situation excellent for disabled holidaymakers. Having a parking space was fantastic too - not something that's available in many places now.

Apartment is in an excellent position, just on the outskirts of town, with its own parking space and an excellent position for exploring the Lake District. Well equipped and nicely furnished but unfortunately the apartment had a damp smell, which did improve over the week slightly but needs addressing.
