Cliff End Firs is situated in a quiet residential area, within a beautiful garden with colourful shrubs and well-tended lawns. Entry is up a few slate steps into the welcoming entrance hall and on to the large, bright kitchen with splendid views out to Red Screes and Loughrigg Fell.
Local slate worktops complement the cream wooden cupboards and oak flooring. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a large American-style fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric double oven, gas hob and microwave. A great selection of crockery and cutlery is provided and even a coffee maker with an unlimited supply of pods. A breakfast table with seating for four looks out over the neighboring fells.
The contemporary lounge with open gas fire, comfy sofas, TV, DVD player and Bose iPod dock makes a relaxing spot after a day of sightseeing. A good supply of maps, guidebooks and CDs are provided for use during your stay. Step outside the patio doors on to the sundeck for more fabulous views across the mountains and fells. Lie back in a recliner with a good book or simply close your eyes and dream about your next fell walk.
Natural light streams into the beautiful dining room, where you will find ample seating for a large family group. Patio doors allow access to the sundeck, a super place for an aperitif before dinner.
A short flight of stairs leads to three comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom overlooks the front garden, has a kingsized bed and modern ensuite shower room with walk in power shower, washbasin and w.c. The other bedrooms on this level both have twin single beds (one of these rooms can be made up as a super king upon request). They both have views back towards Wansfell and share a modern fully tiled bathroom with washbasin, w.c. and power shower over the bath.
At the lower ground floor level, accessed down a short flight of stairs from the entrance hall, is a further double bedroom with a sunny outlook over the garden. A separate modern, fully tiled bathroom has a walk in power shower, washbasin and w.c. All bathrooms have heated towel rails, under-floor heating and complimentary toiletries. All bedrooms have digital radios and bathrobes.
Step down into the games room with an amazing assortment of childrens toys, board games and even a pool table. There is a TV with Sky Q, surround sound and a library of DVDs that is regularly updated. Everything you need to entertain the family on a rainy day. The sofa bed in this room can be made into a double bed, with shared use of the bathroom on this level. Drawers and cupboards provide ample storage.
The utility room houses two washing machines and two tumble dryers. There is also useful storage for jackets and outdoor gear. A door leads into the garage that has a table tennis table and a fridge for chilled drinks. The garage also provides secure storage for bikes and other outdoor equipment.
The enclosed lawned garden has a selection of garden furniture, including recliners, tables, chairs and a parasol, for you to sit back and admire the beautiful views across the mountains and fells.
There is off-road parking for five cars on the drive leading to the house.
