This is a cottage with a lovely, fresh and welcoming feel to it. It’s an upside down place so the front door leads to the bedrooms downstairs. The bedrooms are calm in muted tones of grey and blue. The double bedroom has patio doors leading to a shared courtyard. There is comfortable seating and a perfectly positioned TV for the ultimate decadent luxury of TV in bed. The en suite shower room here has a powerful shower. The second bedroom is small and perfectly formed with two singles and a merry seaside feel to it. The bathroom has a bath with shower over it.
Upstairs is light, modern and wonderfully comfortable. It’s open plan with a kitchen area at one end, dining in the middle and the lounge area at the other end which looks out onto paddocks and trees for as far as the eye can see. There is a Juliet balcony here allowing you to feel truly a part of the surrounding countryside! Sink into the sofas, and enjoy both the view and the hundreds of options available on the Smart TV. There is also a DVD player and a wide selection of DVDs to borrow. There are also books and board games to round off the perfect escape from everyday life (these are rotated between visits to ensure covid safety).
The kitchen is beautiful and fully equipped with dishwasher, electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and plenty of storage space. If you need to use a washing machine and dryer – the owners have a spare one next door.
Outside you have a patio area, complete with garden furniture. There is a wooden shed here which is useful for bike storage. Two friendly Shetland ponies, Applejack and Dinky, live in the paddock and they love to be petted.
There is plenty of parking in the courtyard shared with the owners of Church House Barn.
