Chapel House Mews is a lovely mews cottage, which is part of a Georgian Bassenthwaite House, sleeping 2/3 people in comfort. The cottage has a pretty garden, shared with the resident chickens and rabbits.
Skiddaw provides an inspiring backdrop to the village and you can find some of the best ways to climb it virtually from the door.
The shores of Bassenthwaite are about a mile away. You can walk over the fields or take a short drive down the lane to the picturesque church of St Bega and the historic stately home Mirehouse.
Keswick and Cockermouth are within a 15 minute drive, offering interesting shopping, plentiful pubs, cafes and tearooms. The local pub to Chapel House Mews is the Sun Inn in the centre of Bassenthwaite village, which has a welcoming atmosphere, great menu and is dog friendly.
