Located in the peaceful hamlet of Arkholme, not far from Kirkby Lonsdale, Chapel House sleeps up to 10 people in 5 lovely bedrooms. This impressive retreat offers spacious accommodation with plenty of room for families and friends to gather together but also space for everyone to be able to get away for a quiet moment. The property sits in 12 acres of grounds and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. On the patio behind the house you'll find a real treat: a fantastic swimming pool!

Chapel House enjoys a wonderful setting on the edge of Arkholme, a peaceful village, less than a 15 minute drive from the beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Arkholme itself has a well stocked village store as well as a traditional and friendly pub, the Bay Horse. There are plenty of local footpaths on offer and the quieter country roads in the area are a popular choice with cyclists. The pretty market town of Kirkby Lonsdale has a great choice of eateries as well as quirky independent shops, perfect for indulging in a spot of retail therapy. Visit the famous Devil's Bridge at the eastern end of the town; a scheduled ancient monument, this impressive 3 arched bridge is now a popular meeting point and a great spot to enjoy a picnic lunch. Be sure to check out Ruskin's View over the River Lune too, you'll soon see why the poet dubbed this "one of the loveliest views in England".

With both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales within easy reach, why not spend some time exploring both? Head to nearby Ingleton where you can enjoy the popular Waterfalls Trail or visit the stunning White Scar Caves, before enjoying a treat from the popular Seasons Bakery in the village. Bowness and Windermere in the heart of the South Lakes are a scenic 40 minute drive away and have plenty to entertain all, from attractions and museums to fantastic walking opportunities for all abilities.
