Lovely, traditional, 17th-century farmhouse, with period features and antique pine furniture. Because of its age it had a lived-in feel, which made us feel at home and relaxed, with everything in good order, while not being overly modernised. The Rayburn was a real bonus, as was the coal fire in the living room, with a good supply of coal provided.
The exit onto the road could be an issue and would benefit from a mirror viewing to the right, but the location was wonderful, although it is part of a working farm which might not suit everyone.
Sadly, we could only stay 3 nights, but would love to come back again for a full week.

Hi Wendy, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, albeit brief. It's the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while isn't it? And lovely and cosy to come home to after a day out exploring. I hope you can come back soon, you can be sure of a warm welcome. And hopefully you can stay for longer next time.

Thanks to Jimmy for a very nice stay. Needs a few bits in the kitchen, salt and pepper etc. Exit onto road can be dangerous.

Hi David, I'm glad you enjoyed your break. It's a lovely place to get away from it all isn't it? I'll pass your feedback on to Jimmy. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
