Sitting right in the centre of the charming village of Cark-in-Cartmel is Caton Lane House, a stunning Grade II Listed retreat for 10 people. Head inside and you're sure to feel right at home.
The modern kitchen is sleek and stylish. Well equipped with an electric oven and hob, large fridge and separate freezer, additional wine fridge and handy microwave, it's sure to be a hit with the cooks in the group. Gather round the dining table in the separate dining room, the ideal spot for catching up on the day's events over a delicious home cooked meal.
With its traditional slate floors, wooden beams and wood burning stove, the living room is perfect for relaxing evenings in front of the fire after a day out exploring. There's a TV in both the living room and snug for entertainment. Across the hallway is the cosy snug. Complete with its own wood burning stove and inviting seating, retreat in here and catch up with a good book.
Upstairs on the first floor are 4 out of the 5 bedrooms. All are so beautifully decorated, you really are spoilt for choice! In keeping with the local area they have been named after the Cumberland sheep counting numbers.
The first two rooms are both bright and spacious with lovely window seats, Yan has an original feature fireplace and king bed and Tyan has a luxurious super king bed. Tethera is a bright and cosy double room with a calming feel to it. The final bedroom on the first floor is Methera, a king size bedroom with a real cottagey feel thanks to its vaulted ceiling with gorgeous original wooden beams and the quaint original window.
Also on the first floor is the fantastic family bathroom. As well as the WC and washbasin, there's also a luxurious claw foot bath, perfect whether you prefer a long soak in the tub or a refreshing shower, all tastes are catered for here.
Onwards and upwards to the second floor where you'll find the fifth and final bedroom - Pimp. This spacious twin room is full of original features from the wooden beams to the exposed floorboards but still bright and airy thanks to the Velux windows. This bedroom also has its own en-suite shower room, with WC, washbasin and shower cubicle.
On street parking is available throughout the village, just a short walk from the cottage.
