We ask for a damage deposit of £150. This will be returned in the fortnight following your stay.
Private water supply - this is filtered, UV treated and completely safe to drink (although during bad weather it can be discoloured, but still safe to drink).
I'm afraid we cannot take cats.
Initial supply of logs for the fire is provided.
Selection of children's books, DVDs, games and toys available to borrow.
Although we have beds for nine, the seating in the dining room and lounge is more suited to eight, especially if everyone in the group is an adult. With that in mind, Castlerigg Farmhouse is better suited to 8 adults plus one small child.
There are lots of lovely walks right from the front door - including Castlerigg Stone Circle, Walla Crag and Ashness Bridge. Keswick town centre is a 20 minute walk from the Farmhouse.

    General Description
    The house is accessed from the front through the small porch into the sitting room which has comfortable seating, open fire, TV, DVD player and a Roberts Bluetooth radio and music system. The lovely shuttered window from the sitting room provides stunning views to the lake and the fells beyond. The small conservatory to the side of the sitting room has bistro table and chairs and fabulous views again to the lake and mountains beyond

    The lovely, newly renovated farmhouse style kitchen has electric range cooker with ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and breakfast table. Leading off from the kitchen is the dining room with again, a lovely shuttered window with views and a good selection of books,including walking books and maps, games and DVDs for adults and children. The utility room has washer, sink, iron, ironing board, coat hooks and boot rack.

    The stairway from the sitting room leads to the first floor which has three spacious king sized bedrooms, two with stunning views of the lake and fells and all with ample hanging and storage space. The family bathroom on this floor has bath with mains shower over, washbasin, W.C. and heated towel rail. Another separate W.C. is adjacent to the bathroom.

    A further stairway leads up to the second floor with triple bedroom (three single beds) and bathroom. This spacious bedroom features beautiful original oak roof beams, and is ideally suited to children (adults - mind your heads on the low beams). The newly converted bathroom has a mosaic floor and bath, W.C and washbasin.

    To the outside is a gravelled parking area for 3 cars and lovely lawned area with wooden table and seating. Please note there are several steps down to the rear door into the conservatory. The panoramic views down to Derwent Water and the surrounding mountains from the garden are absolutely stunning.
