In addition, there is a log burning stove in the living room.  Two initial baskets of logs are supplied.

General Description

A warm welcome to Castlegate House. A spacious, detached property, Castlegate House has been refurbished to a high standard and now provides wonderful accommodation for up to 8 people. 2 dogs are welcome too as long as they remain downstairs and off the furniture.

The welcoming hallway is the ideal place to leave coats and boots before continuing through to the lovely living room. Spacious and bright, this is the perfect room for unwinding after a day out exploring. Relax on one of the 3 comfy sofas. There's a 50" smart TV with Netflix for entertainment or why not catch up with a good book?

The modern dining kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday. There's an electric oven and separate hob, built-in microwave and a useful dishwasher so there's no need to fight over who has to do the washing up! The stylish island unit is sure to be a hit with the cooks in the group as there's plenty of space for food preparation. The dining table is positioned in front of the French doors to make the most of the lovely view out over the garden and to the Solway Firth and Scotland beyond.

A handy utility room, which houses a useful washing machine and tumble dryer. In  addition, a separate cloakroom completes the ground floor.

Head up the stairs to the first floor and you'll the 4 fabulous bedrooms. There are 2 lovely king-size bedrooms to choose from, one with its own en suite shower room (with WC, washbasin and large shower), one double room and a delightful twin room that can also be made up as a super-king. Also on the first floor is the family bathroom. As well as the WC and washbasin, there's a bath and a large  separate shower so all tastes are catered for, whether you prefer a long soak in the tub or an invigorating shower. Handily tucked away on the landing up here is also a useful study area, ideal for if you have to do a spot of work - or for just writing a postcard or two.

As well as driveway parking for 3 cars, and large double garage to store bikes/golf clubs etc.,there is a large garden with lawn and sitting out patio areas and a gas barbecue, table & chairs, ideal for dining al fresco in the summer months. Not forgetting the large private hot tub - the perfect way to top off your stay at Castlegate House!
