General Description

Enjoying stunning lake views, Browside is a beautiful detached single storey property offering outstanding accommodation for 14 people and 2 very lucky dogs.

Outside is a delightful patio area. With garden furniture and a private hot tub (available 8am-10pm), it's the perfect place to sit back, relax and bask in those stunning views. A true Lakeland garden wraps around the property, with winding paths and steps to a variety of different seating areas it's a delightful garden to explore.

If you can tear yourselves away from the views and step inside this beautiful cottage, a warm welcome awaits. The spacious entrance porch doubles as a convenient drying area, ideal for storing for any wet boots and coats. The farmhouse-style kitchen is lovely and welcoming, traditional in style but with all the modern conveniences of a well equipped kitchen it's just perfect for rustling up a feast. In here you'll find everything you could need: there's a microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and 2 dishwashers take away the task of washing up by hand - more time for relaxing in the hot tub! As well as an electric double oven and hob, there's also an oil-fired Aga (free November-March). A table with 8 chairs makes the kitchen the perfect spot for a bite of breakfast.

The separate dining room has seats for all 14 people. With fantastic views from its large bay window, you couldn't imagine a better setting for that special meal. Head into the lovely living room where the sofas are set up to make the most of those views as well as the cosy wood burner. The fire will be laid for your arrival and additional wood can be purchased from the garage in Coniston. It's a wonderful room for relaxing with a good book - if you don't get distracted by the view that is! For entertainment there's a flat screen TV or make the most of your time together by comparing notes on your day's adventures whilst planning tomorrow's.

Onwards to the sleeping accommodation. With 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms in total, there's certainly plenty to choose from. 5 of bedrooms are en-suite and all 6 bedrooms have their own TVs, so there'll be no fighting over the remote control here. There is a wonderful king size room with its own en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, sink and WC; the double bedroom also benefits from an en-suite (shower cubicle, sink and WC), as does the delightful twin room. There are 2 family rooms, the first contains a king size bed and a single bed, whilst the second has a double bed and a single bed. One of the family rooms has an en-suite too, this time containing a bath with shower over as well as a sink and WC. Don't worry if you're in the  family bedroom without an en-suite - there's a fantastic family bathroom housing a bath with shower over, sink and WC.
