The fabulous large windows really making the most of the surrounding stunning scenery - talk about a meal with a view! With 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms (5 en-suites plus the family bathroom), it's an ideal cottage for multi-generational get togethers. There's even a private hot tub (available all year, between 8am-10pm), perfectly positioned to make the most of the amazing views on offer.

You'll feel like you've stumbled across a real gem with a stay in this peaceful part of the South Lakes. Half a mile walk along the old railway footpath is the small village of Torver, with its 2 pubs (one also doubles as a cafe and small shop) it's the perfect place for a pitstop on your travels to or from beautiful Browside. Take a walk along the picturesque shore of Coniston Water to Coniston village. With its shops, pubs, museums and water sports, there's something for everyone in this quaint Lakeland village. It was on Coniston Water that Donald Campbell broke the water speed record - if a more sedate pace is more your style, then a ride on the steam gondola is a must. There's a great choice of walks in the area too. You can head up mighty Coniston Old Man straight from Browside's front door, explore the Coppermines from Coniston village or head up to nearby Tarn Hows for a great circular walk in beautiful surroundings.

If you fancy heading slightly further afield, Ambleside is a great day out for families: enjoy a round of mini golf, grab lunch from the Great North Pie Company then take in a film at the town's popular cinema. Fancy something a bit more energetic? Adrenaline junkies will love the Go Ape High Ropes Course at Girzedale Forest and there's plenty of trails to explore the forest - either on foot or 2 wheels! Less than an hour's scenic drive away from Browside is Keswick, a bustling market town with plenty to entertain. For some retail therapy there's a great choice of shops to browse in or why not take a walk up to the mystical Castlerigg Stone Circle?
