Brow Farmhouse sits on the lower slopes of Whin Fell on an access only lane in the peaceful hamlet of Low Lorton. The farmhouse part of a converted homestead set in the midst of stunning scenery.
The farmhouse sleeps 6 people and is ideal for a growing family with a double room and two twin bedrooms. There is walking and adventure straight from the door and this location is a great base for touring the quieter valleys in the west. The quiet lanes of Lorton are suitable for cycling whilst more adventurous cyclists can tackle the passes of Whinlatter or Honister.
The local pub is The Wheatsheaf, which serves excellent food and drink, and there is also a small shop in the village. Cockermouth is just a fifteen-minute drive away and has a several good independent food shops and a Sainsbury's.
We are happy to offer a reduction in the full week price during the low season for any booking with an occupancy of two people using either one or two bedrooms. The reduction will be 10% on the full week. Please ring the office to make a booking and also confirm the numbers that you will require.
