What an absolutely fantastic holiday cottage. Bridge end is a hidden gem. Away from it all, in the most idyllic setting. The cottage and surrounding area are beautiful. The place was spotless when we arrived and the wood-burner ready to be lit which was perfect as we arrived on a rainy day. The children loved roaming around the fields and crossing the tiny bridge over the little river Sprint right outside the door. We hope to come again and truly get away from it all. Thank you so much to Helen and Alan.

Hi Alex, thank you for your comments, it sounds like you had a wonderful family break. Delighted to hear how your children enjoyed exploring the fields and the river - you can't beat a spot of adventure, can you?

If you want to escape from it all and enjoy the fabulous countryside, this is perfect. Only 10mins from kendal and all of the touristy stuff, it’s a great location. You have to be prepared to drive up a long track to the cottage and I’m not sure ‘dominoes’ would deliver here! The cottage is very clean and has plenty of room for all of your walking boots and cycle stuff.

Hi Jo, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you had a great holiday. It's the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while isn't it? I hope you can come back for some more adventures in the Lakes soon.

This cottage is all about its location: remote, quiet and beautiful. The view from the garden, up the valley to Kentmere Pike is very special. The cottage itself is very traditional and decor wise a bit dated but well very well equipped. We had a problem with the hot water but this was quickly sorted by the Helen, the owner and Sally's Cottages. Walks to Harter Fell, Kentmere Pike and Kentmere Valley all from the door. Longsleddale is a gem of valley - would recommend.
