From the North & South
Leave the M6 at junction 40 (Penrith).
Take the A66 towards Keswick and Workington.
Follow the A66 for about 8 miles and then leave the A66 at the exit for Ullswater (signed Dockray/Troutbrck A5091).
Continue on A5091 for 2.5 miles until you reach a sign for Penruddock/Penrith.
Continue past the sign and turn right after 20 yards, just after you pass a house called 'Ivy House' ('no through road' signed). This turn can be easily missed, so going slowly is advised.
Follow the road round to the right (this is a sharp turn on a narrow road, stay in a low gear).
The road then bears round to the left (opposite a salt bunker and a finger post marked "New Road 1/2 mile).
Turn left just after Bank House and a short track will take you to the parking space for Brandle How (please don’t block the entrance gate to the field).
Go through the small garden gate (not the main gate leading to the garage) and down the steps to the right of Kirksty Brow.
The postcode for Brandlehow isCA11 0LF.
