We had a wonderful time! The cottage was cosy in October with a fire going, and Wast Water is a special part of the Lakes — quiet, and surrounded by fells and peaks that you can walk flexibly from different start and end points. The lake itself also has perfectly clear water and several pebbly bits on the shore where you can wander in for a dip! The cottage is on a working farm, and we really enjoyed being able to observe the activity there. You’ll hear roosters and sheep dogs in the morning. Great kitchen that had all the kit we wanted for roasting and baking. No phone signal — a blessing.

Hi Baillie, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your break, it's a lovely place to relax and recharge the batteries isn't it? Wastwater is stunning! One of my favourite Lakes for a dip.
I hope you can come back and do it all again soon!

Very remote. Ideal for walking holidays. No WiFi or tv so perfect for getting away from it all.

Hello Emma, It's a lovely place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while, isn't it? I would love to welcome you back again in the future.

Great place. If you like the wilderness and an original Lake District experience then this is for you. If you don't then it's probably not!
