- I really liked this cottage, the photos don’t give justice to the lovely old character of wonky walls and old stone floors. Very cosy and warm, and a great fire. I loved the 5 minute walk down a track to the village with two local pubs, passing a farm that sells eggs and logs. A really fantastic and quiet location with an amazing choice of walks. My only complaint is lack of tv and DVD player ; I like to relax by watching films and dramas and the intermittent WiFi signal didn’t lend itself well to viewing on my laptop. The pillows were hard but that’s minor as overall a very comfy and spacious place. It was also great to have the Bluetooth speaker. Would like to come again.

Hi Rebecca, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you had a lovely holiday. It's the perfect place for a relaxing break isn't it? The cottage is a real home from home and lovely and cosy to come back to after a day out exploring. And the location takes some beating. Buttermere is one of my favourite places in the Lakes, probably the world!
I really appreciate your feedback and will make sure it's looked into, thank you. I hope you can look forward to another visit soon.
