There's no doubt that Christmas this year is going to be a little bit different! The Lake District and Cumbria is currently in Tier 2, which means that we can still welcome guests at our holiday cottages, and some groups can eat out. If you're travelling as one household over Christmas, you can enjoy a meal out at one of the many fabulous pubs and restaurants that are Covid-secure and open over the festive period.
If you're visiting as part of a Christmas Bubble of more than one household, you'll probably be planning a slap-up Christmas dinner at your holiday cottage instead. There's plenty of options for you too! Why not order fresh local produce direct to your door with A Day's Walk, have restaurant-quality meals delivered by Dine in With Karen Rhodes, or pick up something from a Cranstons Food Hall? Guests with Sally's Cottages even receive a special discount or a freebie!
Read on to find out more about some fantastic pubs and restaurants open over the holidays!
