Loweswater and fells
There are plenty of great walks by the lake in Loweswater. The area is a red squirrel strong hold and you will often see them scampering through the trees and the undergrowth around the lake. There is a high path above the trees to take in the beautiful view or several trails in the woods where you can watch the birds and squirrels.
