The 25th of March to the 2nd of April 2017 is English Tourism Week, a celebration of all things tourism around the UK. We’re bringing you list of some of the great things going on over the coming week.

Northern Craft Beer Fest, Hawkshead Brewery

This unique, three-day-long beer festival celebrates 25 local breweries and 75 different beers, including rare, limited edition specials. If that’s not enough of a celebration for you, a special festival menu is also available as well as music from a DJ on the Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Northern Craft Beer Fest runs from the 24th to the 26th March 2017.

Brampton Farmers Market, Brampton

The Mechanicals, Whitehaven Beacon

The Mechanicals is an interactive exhibition of fascinating automata. There is a range of quirky and beautiful mechanical objects, many of which are available to touch and explore, giving you the opportunity to learn how they work. The Beacon in the Georgian harbour town of Whitehaven also has a range of other, family-friendly activities and exhibitions about the local area.

The Mechanicals runs from the 25th of March to the 20th of April 2017.

Walkers Cruises, Coniston Water

Cross Coniston Water in style on the National Trust’s unique, rebuilt, steam-powered, Victorian Yacht Gondola. Named in the Cumbria Tourism Awards 2016 as Visitor Attraction of the Year, the cruise begins at Coniston Pier and stops off at Brantwood or Monk Coniston before returning to Coniston Pier. Explore a number of walks or visit Brantwood house and gardens before hopping back on board to head back to your starting point.

Sedbergh Spring Show, Sedbergh People’s Hall

The Sedbergh and District Spring Show presents a range of activities throughout Saturday the 1st of April. Enjoy the musical strains of Sedbergh Town Band whilst browsing through crafts, flowers, home produce, local art, and much more. You won’t go hungry, either, with afternoon tea and refreshments available from the opening of the show.
