Sally's Cottages - Number 1 for Dog Friendly Cottage Holidays

We understands that many of you will want to bring your four-legged friends on holiday with you, which is why we have over 250 pet friendly cottages throughout the Lake District.

ImageWe are all dog lovers here: Sally’s dog, Ted, has been a stalwart in promotional photos for Sally’s Cottages over the years, modelling in many images that promote the beautiful Lake District and our lovely cottages. Pip, owned by Sally's mum, is Ted's protege, and started her own modelling career in 2016 with the Sally's Cottages' Brochure.

ImageFor many, being able to bring your dog, or dogs, with you, is a primary reason for choosing to take a holiday in the UK. That's why, at Sally's Cottages, we encourage as many of our cottages as possible to be dog-friendly, and why our office in Keswick welcomes well-behaved pooches. Many of our staff members are also dog owners so are understanding of the requirements and concerns of bringing your pet on holiday. They will be happy to help you with any enquiries you may have about your booking.

After Ted, Suzanna's Jack Russel, Rosie, is the longest-serving staff pooch. On the other end of the scale, our newest member of staff, Sarah, has two lovely huskies called Cooper and Ivy. Other members of the four-legged team include Katie's Black Labrador, Eskie, and Vanessa's Zeeta (also a Black Lab).

ImageThe Lake District is also a pet-friendly place to visit, with many pubs, shops, and attractions welcoming dogs alongside well-behaved owners! With hundreds of walks everywhere you go, you'll never be short of locations for a new adventure with your pooch - whether you need low-level, easy walks, or long, uphill hikes for the most energetic of dogs, you'll find plenty of options in the Lakes.
