Lake District Cottages - Happy Holidaymakers at Hollin Head.
Published: 4th May 2011
I was over in Eskdale last week and I took the opportunity to pop in at Hollin Head (one of our original Lake District cottages) and check that everything was in order at the cottage.
We’ve had some lovely comments in the visitors book, which always gives us a real buzz:
“Wonderful Cottage. I’d like to suggest the King George Pub for excellent food and very friendly staff (just five minutes walk away). For walks try Blea Tarn and Stanley Force. Gorgeous weather all week, I managed to survive a whole week without using my laptop or mobile phone. The only complaint is that I had to go home”.
“Relaxing week, Good weather, Great time. The “Eskdale Walks” book is v. good for little expeditions for small children”.
“The Cottage was very well equipped (other than a tea cosy!). We have had a really good week and will come back again. Both walkers and the less energetic are catered for in this pretty part of the Lake District”.
“The cottage is warm and cosy and welcoming. The walks and the surrounding countryside are beautiful. We can’t wait to come again, until then please look after the sheep for us”.
If you are planning a trip to the Lake District, then we have some great last minute deals. If you are able to come for a mid week short break, then it’s amazing what you can get for your money – Take a look at all of our mid week short breaks.
