A pet-sitting company called TrustedHousesitters has conducted social media research on the most popular dog walking locations in the UK and the Lake District has come out on top!
It's no surprise to us that dog owners love to take their pooches out on the fells and around the waters of the beautiful Lake District. There are plenty of options whether you want a flat, easy walk or a hike that takes in several peaks! Our home of Keswick even won the Kennel Club's 2016 award for most dog-friendly town!
If you're looking for a self-catering holiday cottage that's perfect for you and your pet, why not take a look at our dog-friendly properties?
We have lots of useful guides for making the most of your dog-friendly holiday, and the Lake District is very welcoming to dog owners and their pooches. But please keep the national park clean and safe by picking up after your dog and keeping them on a lead, especially when passing through farm land!
