Greystoke Pot Fest!

Published:

Greystoke Arts Festival is being held between 4th and 13th May in several locations across the village. The festival kicks off with a Soup & Bread evening where a £10 donation buys a bowl of homemade soup and bread served in a beautiful and unique ceramic to take home with you. Funds are raised for Christian Aid.

St Andrew’s Church is hosting an all day café and exhibiting sculptures including a wonderful example of the Madonna and Child, which was carved by German prisoners of war, held at Carlisle during WW2. It was carved with a penknife from a lump of holly root.

Workshops and demonstrations will be held at Greystoke school over the two weekends covering diverse subjects including spinning, making bunting and stitching brooches.

Other demonstrations will be held at the village hall and the work of many local artists will be displayed and available for purchase.
