Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci in the Lake District

Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci are currently in the Lake District to film an upcoming movie. The two were snapped with the owner of The Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite over the weekend.

The Sun Inn in BassenthwaiteOscar-winner Colin Firth is best-known for his roles as Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, another Mr Darcy in Bridget Jones's Diary, and as King George VI in The King's Speech. American actor Stanley Tucci is also well known with credits including The Lovely Bones, The Hunger Games, and The Devil Wears Prada.

The Lake District is no stranger to big Hollywood names and has been used as a location for many films and TV series' across the years. You can see this beautiful region in films such as Swallows & Amazons and Peter Rabbit, which are stories already firmly attached to the Lakes. Or keep an eye out in Star Wars and cult-classic Withnail and I for more Lake District scenery.
