Whent Cottage, Ravenglass

Ravenglass is the national park's only coastal village, and the sandy beach is literally at the end of the road from Whent Cottage! As well as that, the charming La'al Ratty - a miniature steam engine - sets off from the village and toots its way into beautiful Eskdale. It's the perfect day out for all ages!

In the heart of popular Keswick, Brews Cottage is the perfect budget family retreat. For character and history, head to Rose Cottage in Pardshaw. The large rooms offer plenty of space for the kids to run about and explore, while the enclosed grassy garden is ideal for cartwheels, picnics or epic imaginary adventures! The delights continue at nearby Loweswater, a peaceful lake on the western edge of the Lakes. Here you can enjoy walks along the shore and through magical ancient woodland.
