Blencathra View is part of a large stone built barn sympathetically converted into three holiday cottages providing comfortable self catering accommodation. It is situated in an imposing position at the foot of Blencathra with stunning views across the valley to Threlkeld common and Clough Head. The start of a walk up Blencathra can commence from the front door of the property.
The White Horse Inn, situated behind Blencathra View, offers home made bar meals and good ale, welcoming dogs and children. There are two more great country pubs in Threlkeld only a mile away, both serving good food and fine ales.
The market town of Keswick is just 5 miles away by car along the A66, or by a lovely walk which follows the old railway line with wooded areas and passes over the Victorian iron railway bridges. The imposing mountain of Skiddaw is also only a short distance away.
The large private patio area to the front of the cottage has wonderful views across the fells and is south facing. A further BBQ and picnic area is shared with the two adjoining holiday cottages. The cottage is situated in an easy accesible position by the A66 but set high up above it.
Blencathra View can be booked along with the adjoining cottages, Scales View and Clough View, to accommodate groups of up to 16 people. A 10% discount is available when all three cottages are booked together.
