In a beautiful location, Blencathra holiday cottage, offering self catering accommodation for up to 4 persons, is one of two holiday cottages that have been converted from former stables. They retain original features including beams and are located across a courtyard from The Troutbeck Inn. The owners of the Inn and the cottages provide a warm welcome and serve delicious food in the Inn should you wish a change from self catering after a day out exploring the lakes, fell walking or cycling.
Blencathra cottage is perfect for holidays or short breaks all year round, lying equidistance from Penrith and Keswick and within easy reach of Ullswater, ideal for sailing, boat hire and steamer trips. Helvellyn, the third highest peak in both the Lake District and England is a short drive away at Glenridding . Blencathra, the most northerly of the Lake District peaks, is also a short drive and can be seen from the cottage. Troutbeck is on the main Keswick to Penrith bus route and buses frequently pass through the village should you want to leave the car behind.
Blencathra can be booked along with the adjacent cottage of Saddleback, sleeping 4. Taken together, the two cottages can accommodate 8 people in total.
