Hello Gregg, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm thrilled you had a lovely relaxing break - the Lakes is just perfect for recharging the batteries, isn't it? Thank you also for your feedback - I will look into this further. I hope you will plan a return trip to the beautiful Lakes very soon.

We had a lovely relaxing time at the cottage. We enjoyed being near the lake so we could go canoeing from the shared beach. The cottage is a great base for exploring the area around Coniston and the lower Lakes.

We had a lovely 4 days at blea brows. We did various walks everyday and went down to the lake every morning and evening with the dogs. The location was ideal for us as the dogs could run loose without fear of roads etc. Just beware if you do have a dog as one of mine got covered in ticks which painstakingly had to be tweezered out much to his disapproval.
We couldn’t get the tv to work but for us that wasn’t the end of the world. The kitchen was well equipped and a nice enclosed yard to sit out. If I was to be picky I would suggest outside lighting and maybe a patio heater for the colder months. The beds were comfortable but the heating was a bit hit and miss...again we coped alright as we are used to being outside so don’t feel the cold a lot. The nearest shop is in trove about 2 1/2 miles away, we ran out of milk when the shop was shut and had to drive to coniston for some. Lovely little cosy cottage in a very quiet location. We would definitely visit again.
