Most of the good things to say about this cottage have already been said in previous reviews, so I'll start with a couple of negatives! One, we don't own it and two, we can't live there permanently! We loved it. We arrived in the dark, but found the cottage warm and lit (thanks to the timer on the lamp). The Christmas Tree was an unexpected but great addition to the cosiness of this lovely, well equipped and clean cottage. One of our best Christmas cottages and area to visit. After coming to the Lake District (Keswick) for 20 years, we must say we loved the quietness. Our scores would be 10/10 but the local amenities are limited (no fault of the cottage) just one of those things when going rural and when you are just a couple in a larger cottage then any value for money score will always suffer a bit. Sad we had to leave a little early due to Tier 4 coming in to play, but we would love to visit again.

A comfortable, well equipped cottage. Nice garden. Nice touches like wood for the fire. And it allowed dogs. Only downside is reversing onto the road.
