If you are in the market for a truly luxurious Lakeland holiday cottage with glorious views and Keswick just a short hop away, then Bisoi will not disappoint. Situated in Braithwaite, this indulgent gem envelops you in comfort. From the moment you walk through the door you'll be aware that this house has a magic touch: the owners have thought of every possible detail to make your holiday special and have used an elegant eye for modern decor, high spec appliances, indulgent furnishings and generous extras to create a warm and welcoming home you'll be reluctant to leave. There's even a resident pheasant called Phil who calls in from time to time!

The village of Braithwaite is blessed in its amazing setting on the edge of Whinlatter Forest Park, at the foot of magnificent mountains, and close to the shores of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake. It is perfectly situated for making the most of the fell walking in the area; you can walk up Barrow, Causey Pike or Grisedale Pike straight from the door. There is also a wealth of easier strolls including a charming bridleway along Newlands Beck; perfect for days of picnics and paddling! Whinlatter Forest is an absolute must for visitors with miles of cycling and walking tracks, a cafe, a play park and a Go-Ape! high ropes course. Take the path from the top of the garden through the village to walk straight into the forest. Braithwaite boasts three pubs and a restaurant serving good food and local real ales. It also has a much-loved shop and a cafe that are hubs for village life. For the foodies among you, the highly-acclaimed Cottage in the Wood restaurant is just up the road.

To explore the more bustling side of Lakeland life, head to Keswick, just three miles away. The town is well known as the adventure capital of the Lakes but there's plenty more to enjoy, too. You could make use of the great range of eateries, independent and outdoor shops and the regular market or take in a play or concert at the beautifully situated Theatre by the Lake. You could also get out and about on Derwentwater, either under your own steam or aboard one of the stately launches. If you can tear yourself away from the luxurious grasp of Bisoi, then there's a wonderful world of adventure to discover nearby.
